2017 Copper Basin Ag Forum
The 2nd Annual Copper Basin Ag Forum is right around the corner. Please come down to the Community Hall in Kenny Lake on Saturday, April 2nd for a day filled with great information about farming and gardening in the Copper River Basin. The speaker line-up includes experts from around the state and our local area. Topics include: growing potatoes in the Interior, integrated pest management, invasive plants in your garden and on your farm, beekeeping, NRCS EQIP program, DNR agricultural land sales, 4H opportunities for kids, and much, much, more. Newly appointed Division of Agriculture Director Arthur Keyes will be on hand to discuss the future of agriculture in the Copper River Valley and his vision for farming in the State. Fabulous door prizes will be awarded throughout the day. Lunches will be for sale from the Copper Basin High School Hockey team.
